Stand up Biomimicry Ideation Session
Challenge Van Rijsingen Green About this session (in English): Our traditional food- and farming systems are broken. We are depleting the soil and buy and sell products optimised for looks and logistics instead of nutritional value. Retailers take the profit, farmers take most of the risks. The consumer is misinformed about quality and costs. How can all parties in the chain, from seed to fork, take their responsibility and work together to make the food chain more regenerative, share risks and revenues in a fair and transparant manner and create tasty and nutritious veggies that keep consumers happy and healthy. How can we make the chain thrive and create the optimal benefit for everyone involved? How can all parties within the chain understand the concept of mutual benefit? How can each understand what the cause and effect of their decisions are concerning this chain? It’s time to ask Nature. With 3.8 billion years of adapting and evolving to changing conditions, there is plenty to be learned from the survival strategies of living organisms around us. How might we thrive? How might we learn from mutual relationships in Nature? Join our Biomimicry ideation session on Friday, October 23rd, 2020, at 14:10 CET to help our client, Van Rijsingen Green, gain ideas on how to approach this challenge. Your host of the session is Laura Stevens, accompanied by two biomimics in training, Mari and Elmo. See you there! |
